Hospitality is written in our hereditary design. Boštjan's parents attended culinary school, where they also met. Since there was no childcare at that time, young Boštjan was introduced to the culinary world. Even our grandparents dreamed of a space surrounded by warmth, where people from all walks of life could gather over good food and drink, enjoying a pleasant environment and a love for intoxicating flavors and aromas.
After gaining independence, in 1994, the Rakar family began to write their family story, together with his wife and children in the idyllic village of Ponikve near Trebnje. With the younger generation, a new breeze blew in, bringing new ideas, concepts, and trends to the inn, while preserving the authentic hospitality, friendliness, and sense of homeliness of Dolenjska.
